David A. Ginsberg

An award-winning and nationally recognized architect, David Ginsberg grew up on the West Side, graduating from New York public schools and Cornell University; he became a bar mitzvah at Temple Ansche Chesed. After careers in both hospital architecture and hospital management, David and his wife, Emily, returned to the West Side in 1993 and joined the SWFS shortly thereafter. They were previously members of Scarsdale Synagogue Reform Temple and have three grown and married children and two grandchildren so far. Listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World, David still practices architecture at Perkins Eastman in New York City. David has served SWFS in many capacities: Board of Trustees (3 years); Vice President / Executive Committee (2 years); Chair of the House Committee (4 years); Chair of the Cemetery Committee (1 year); Member of the Long Range Planning Committee; Member of the Rabbinical Search Committee; Member of the Executive Director Search Committee. He is a regular participant in Shabbat morning Religious Services and Torah Study, and in the synagogue's educational activities.
