Colin Fowler (Piano)

Colin Fowler has an extensive background in both classical music and musical theater. Growing up in Kansas, he began playing for church services at the age of 11, and was playing for Broadway musicals at age 14. After attending Interlochen Arts Academy, a full-time boarding high school, he moved to New York to attend the Juilliard School, where he received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in piano and organ. He has played and music directed numerous productions in New York and regionally and has performed recitals across the country, including such venues as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and The Library of Congress. On Broadway, he was a pianist for the recent revival of 42nd Street and currently plays for the Tony Award winning musical, Jersey Boys. He has been a featured performer in the Prism Concert Series performing a world-premiere work with the American Brass Quintet, as well as accompanying Deborah Voigt. Mr. Fowler is a sought after accompanist, playing for Paul Gemignani's Music Theater Workshop, NYU's CAP21, and the Juilliard Choral Union, under the direction of Judith Clurman. Additionally, he is chair of the Theory and Ear Training department at Nyack College, where he is a full-time professor and directs the Nyack College Chorale. He is a seasoned church musician playing in churches all over the country, including Calvary Baptist and Marble Collegiate in New York City. He is also the pianist at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue on the Upper West Side.
