This itinerary and trip is appropriate for ages 16 years and older. All travelers must be SWFS members in good standing.

SWFS is known for its exciting congregational missions. Besides enjoying and learning from the trip, members have said: "Now, when I come to Friday night services, I know so many more people!" and "This really has been the experience of a lifetime."

Approximately every two years, Rabbi Hirsch leads a family mission to Israel, connecting travellers to their roots and modern day Jewish ties. The highlight is the b'nai mitzvah of our very own SWFS children. Past b'nai mitzvah locations have been the breathtaking views of Gamla and Mount Gilboa.

This past March, 2011, Rabbi Hirsch and Religious School Director Evita Sokol led the congregational mission to Israel, organized by our unstoppable trip coordinator, Donna Levine. What an amazing, community-building journey!

In 2008, Rabbi Hirsch and Cantor Singer led members to the Former Soviet Union, where they had memorable experiences with the growing Progressive Jewish community.
