The 3’s Program meets from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., five days per week. Lunch is provided by each family and served in the classrooms.
The curriculum for children 3 to 4 years old reflects the interests and developmental abilities of this age group, in particular increased attention span, more refined motor skills, and greater problem solving skills. The curriculum also focuses on reinforcing group skills and the development of expressive language. Our 3-year-olds have access to many different materials and move freely through the classroom, working with teachers either individually or in small groups.
An extended day program is offered for 3-year-olds. Parents can elect to send their children to any (or all) of the four extended-day classes offered weekly, Monday through Thursday. On each of these days after school, there is a different class activity. Examples of some of the activities we have offered include art, sculpture, woodworking, and photography. This voluntary program extends the 3-year-olds’ day to 2:45 p.m.
