The Stephen Wise Free Synagogue Caring Community supports members of our community in times of joy and loss.

Caring Community volunteers provide support to those experiencing illness, loss, or other life challenges. In times of joy, volunteers offer celebratory support and congratulations.

Opportunities include calling and visiting members who are ill, homebound, or who would simply enjoy some company;  comforting members who are going through difficult times due to illness or loss; helping to bring the homebound and members who have a difficult time moving around the city to Shabbat services; hosting Shabbat dinner; educating members on the Jewish way of handling challenging end-of-life issues; and celebrating such joyous events as births, birthdays, and special achievements.

Help us help each other. Let us know of births, graduations, and promotions, as well as illness or death, whether within your family or in a fellow Stephen Wise  family. We encourage volunteers to keep in touch with our members through telephone calls, visits, mailings, and events.
